This morning's sightseeing takes you through Zagreb's historic Upper Town. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight in Zagreb.

DAY 3: ZAGREB - SARAJEVO
Drive south this morning from Croatia to Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dinner and overnight in Sarajevo.

DAY 4: SARAYEVO - DUBROVNIK
Your city tour reveals the variety of cultures and civilizations that have influenced Sarajevo. Visit the Turkish bazaar Bas Carsija, Husref Bay's Mosque, the Olympic Stadium, and Sarajevo War Tunnel Museum. Continue your journey, traveling along the gorge of the River Neretva to Mostar. Here you will see the remains of the Turkish quarter and the recently reconstructed 16th-century single arch stone bridge built by the Ottomans in the 16th century. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 5: DUBROVNIK
Morning walking tour of Old Dubrovnik where you will see the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery housing one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. Afternoon free. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 6: DUBROVNIK - KOTOR - CETINJE - SVETI STEFAN - BUDVA - DUBROVNIK
Today you take an excursion to the Republic of Montenegro, driving toward the mouth of the beautiful Bay of Kotor. See the towns of Risan and Kotor and proceed to Cetinje, a one-time seat of Montenegrin rulers. After sightseeing in Cetinje, return to Dubrovnik via Sveti Stefan and Budva, arriving in the evening. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 7: DUBROVNIK - SPLIT
After breakfast leave Dubrovnik and travel north along the spectacular Adriatic coast past old fishing villages and new resorts, on the way to Split. A highlight of your city tour is the historic inner city, which was built around the palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. See remnants of Split????s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, and contemporary attractions. Overnight in Split.

DAY 8: SPLIT - TROGIR - PLITVICE LAKES
After breakfast, you head north along the coast to Trogir, a major center of artistic activities. Your journey continues toward the beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park. Overnight in Plitvice.

DAY 9: PLITVICE LAKES
Plitvice National Park is one of UNESCO's World Heritage sites. You have the full day to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes, surrounded by wooded mountains and lush vegetation. In the morning walk around several of the lower lakes. Afternoon free. Overnight in Plitvice.

DAY 10: PLITVICE LAKES - OPATIJA - POSTOJNA - LJUBLJANA
Return to the coast to the beautiful bay of Kvarner and its popular resort, Opatija. See the highlights of this former Imperial resort city then drive to the Postojna Caves, home to one of the largest caves in Europe. There tour the fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Continue to Ljubljana for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: LJUBLJANA - LAKE BLED
Morning tour of Ljubljana, to view the central open-air market, Baroque Town Hall, Robbas Fountain, the Three Bridges, and the Parliament. Then travel to Lake Bled for a tour of the charming town, lakeshore, and imposing Bled Castle. Overnight in Ljubljana.

DAY 12: LJUBLJANA - VENICE
Drive south to Venice stopping at Trieste for a visit to Miramare Castle and Park on the cliffs overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Continue to Venice. Overnight in Venice.

DAY 13: VENICE
After breakfast take a walking tour of the magical city of Venice. Major highlights include the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Square, and the Doge's Palace. The tour ends with a visit to a glass-blowing factory. The afternoon is free to explore this beautiful city at your own pace or you may choose to take an optional gondola ride. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Venice.

After breakfast, your tour services end with a transfer to the airport.
